Jesus loves me…
Good morning, sweet Rise and Shine friends!
Goodness, it is good to be on here with you.
These last two weeks have been quite difficult.
My beautiful sister, Angela, has been having some health challenges.
She is on her second stint in the hospital, and it has been quite the roller coaster.
Without getting into too many details, I would love to ask my sweet friends to pray for her healing.
Before logging on to write, I read the post that I wrote right before this one, not knowing what was to come with my sister.
Goodness gracious.
Isn’t God just AMAZING?
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:17
I am praying all of those healing scriptures over her!
On top of this situation, my first cousin, Amee, passed away suddenly this past week. She was only 57.
Growing up, us cousins were very close. They were truly our first play mates!
Amee will be so very missed by all of us. She was beautiful, creative and loved her family deeply.
As all of this is going on, our neighborhood bible study just started back up.
In this study, I am a small group leader of 10 very special ladies.
However, I have asked God over and over, ‘How am I going to lead this small group, when I feel as if I have NOTHING to give right now…”
As soon as the words flowed out of my heart and out of my mouth, I heard this whisper…
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Remember the old childhood song, Jesus loves me?
Jesus loves me! This I know, For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong: They are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.
How comforting a simple song can be.
Maybe you are going through a hard season as well right now.
Please reach out for prayer.
Prayer changes everything.
Prayer brings peace.
Prayer brings healing.
Prayer brings comfort.
Prayer brings HIS power.
When things are complicated, and there are no answers in sight…
The simple things bring me the most Joy.
A smiling baby that sat right in front of me at church.
A chirping bird right outside my window.
My big panting dog sitting at my feet.
A banana nut bread delivery from my sweet friend and neighbor, Honey.
An old hymn or children’s worship song.
The older I get, the more I realize that I will never ever have all the answers.
But, I can always have God’s Peace.
He has all the answers, and that is all I need to know.
I am praying for you as I type. That God will saturate you with His Peace and His JOY.
He has the whole world in His hands.
We can let go.
Jesus loves me,
jill
