Fall into Him…
Rise and Shine, sweet friend!
September is here! Are we so ready for Fall?
Don’t get me wrong, I love Summer! It is my favorite!
However, the smell of Fall is delicious and wonderful!
I think I will spend today getting my pumpkins and Fall decor rounded up.
A little fun change may be just what this home and my heart needs. :)
God has designed me to be a very cheerful, upbeat, and glass half-full kind of girl.
I don’t like to watch any movie or tv show that is sad, or really even read or watch the news. My heart cannot bear it.
I have to tread very lightly over things like this.
However, lately, there have been some tough days with sad news involving very dear friends.
When you hear this kind of news, it hits you hard in the gut.
It feels like someone knocked the wind out of you.
I know you know that feeling.
However, I am reminded of Paul.
He commands us so very often to PRAY and keep praying.
“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Praying is so multi-fold.
Not only does it have the power to physically heal and bring peace to those we are praying over, but it also brings peace to our hearts.
Prayer has the power to comfort those who are mourning, bring peace to an anxious heart, and bring miracles.
Prayer is supernatural and we will never be able to fully understand how powerful it is this side of Heaven.
If we could truly “see” the power of prayer at work, we would NEVER stop praying.
We would build our entire days around prayer.
God ultimately decides His Plan over our loved ones lives. We may desire healing here on Earth, but He may have another plan.
The outcome belongs to Him, always.
However, we can still pray healing.
We can still pray the desires of our hearts!
He already knows those desires anyway.
The whole point of prayer is communicating with our Father.
We are not making a list of conditional demands.
We are lamenting our deepest heart desires to Him.
We are exposing our utter weaknesses.
We are crying out to Him out of our complete dependency on Him.
We are spilling our hearts and our tears to a Father, Abba who LOVES us and wants and desires to bring comfort to us and our loved ones.
Our Father is not distant. He is oh so near.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18
I want to share a few prayers to help you in times of need.
We need God’s toolbox handy at all times to pull from when praying over the needs of others, and when praying over our own lives.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” Psalm 103:2-3
“Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.” Jeremiah 33:6
“Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” Jeremiah 17:14
“He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.” Matthew 8:17
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.” Jeremiah 30:17
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
“My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” Proverbs 4:20-22
“Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” Psalm 30:2
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” Philippians 1:6
“My God will meet all your needs.” Philippians 4:19
I love to insert loved ones names into the scriptures.
He truly does have the whole world in His Hands.
Let’s trust Him with our prayer and our petitions.
He can handle all of it.
