Take a step…

Good morning, Rise and Shine friends!

It is HERE!

Longer days and warm-ish weather! Yippee!

Aren’t you so thankful for the changing seasons? Me too.

Some seasons seem so last much longer….like winter.

However, eventually, Spring comes. Hallelujah!

This morning, as I was doing my Bible reading, I felt the stirring to write.

Often, it is in the early mornings when this stirring occurs.

There are many times, like today, when I feel His stirring to write, yet, I have nothing to write about.

Blank.

When this happens, I grab my computer, sit at my kitchen table or bar, and just start writing.

Or typing. :)

Often, it just takes me going through the action of sitting down and writing to get the words out.

God often calls us and gives us a stirring, yet we don’t always have the big picture.

We feel His leading, but we cannot see the outcome.

“We walk by faith and not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Our flesh wants to see the results before we take the first step.

Our culture tells us, “seeing is believing.

Yet, faith tells us, “Believing is seeing”.

We want to make sure that the outcome will be good and that we can “see” what will take place through our obedience.

Oh, but that is not how it works most of the time.

We must trust Him.

We must take a step, even when we have no idea where we are going.

We must depend on Him when its foggy and we cannot see a thing in front of us.

This reminds me of Abraham, Moses, King David….

They were given a Word from God.

Yet, they had no idea how it would all turn out.

They just obeyed.

They took a step forward.

They trusted in God to lead them.

Often the hardest part of following God’s leading in our lives is that very first step.

Once we take that first step, the next step becomes clearer, and the next, and the next.

What is God asking you to do today?

Do you feel His stirring?

Friend, take His Hand.

Let Him guide you. One step and one day at a time.

There is truly nothing greater than HIS PLAN for you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,  and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

taking that first step,

jill
