Help me…

My sweet helper…around 2010.

Good morning, sweet friends!

It has been such a sweet gift to have my college daughter home for the Summer! Truly, I try not to smother her, but her presence is just so fulfilling to this empty nesting momma heart.

She is such a helper to me. In so many ways. Running errands, an extra hand to help with dinner and clean up, folding and putting up laundry….ahhhh it is a nice treat!

As we were sitting in church this past Sunday, the preacher was teaching about The Holy Spirit being our “Helper”.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you. John 14:26

Immediately, that brought my heart peace.

He helps us!

He is right beside us!

He does the dishes with us. He rides carpool with us. He cooks dinner with us.

He is so present in our daily lives. Our daily routines.

Just like my daughter is right now…my little side kick.

He is our side kick every single day and every single hour!! The best side kick!

Honestly, I don’t know one woman that does not need a little help in some area each day! Right?

Since that message on Sunday, I have awakened each morning asking The Holy Spirit to help me. In all the things. In all the ways.

When my daughter leaves to go back to college at the end of July, I will miss my little helper.

OH, but then I will remember, I always have a Helper! The One who never leaves…Who never even takes a break!

In every moment—whether we’re tackling big decisions or mundane tasks—we have the Holy Spirit right there with us. Our Helper.

We have a constant, faithful Helper—always ready to guide, remind, comfort, and support us through it all.

Take a big inhale, then a bigger exhale.

Ask Him for help today.

Right now. Ask Him.

Be prepared to be amazed at how He helps you.

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

not afraid to ask for help,

jill
