Coffee Date?

Rise and Shine, sweet friend!

I wish we could have a cup of coffee together and talk for hours. That would be my love language.

My favorite thing to do is share God stories and talk about what God is doing in our lives!

Every time I log on this blog to write, I imagine this scenario.

God is so good to provide a space for us to get together for a few minutes.

Since 2012, I have been writing to you.

That is a LONG time.

In those early days, I would write every single day. YES.

What in the world?

I had two small children at home, yet I somehow found the time.

Many days, it was in the wee hours of the morning, before the rooster would crow. :)

I would have my coffee ready to go, Bible and computer in my favorite spot, and ready to start my morning with you.

So much has changed since 2012.

The world has certainly changed.

My kids have certainly changed. (they are now 21 and 25!)

My face has certainly changed. (ahem, I won’t elaborate on this!)

My house has changed twice since 2012.

A whole lot of change.

Yet, One thing never changes…

The Lord!

I am the LORD, and I do not change. Malachi 3:6

It can be very easy to long for the days gone by…

When we were younger…

When our children were younger…

When life seemed more simple…

However, I have some GOOD NEWS for you this Tuesday morning…

God STILL has good plans for you, sweet friend. (Jeremiah 29:11)

He is still with you. (Matthew 28:20)

He is still for you. (Romans 8:31)

He is still at work in your life. (Ephesians 2:10)

Life may feel different, look different, but one thing for sure is not different…

God’s love for you.

You are seen.

You are heard.

You are HIS.

There are many days when the enemy tries to whisper in our ears the opposite of this…

He will whisper…you are washed up, your best days are over, nothing good will ever come, nobody cares about you, nobody sees you.

He is the father of lies. (John 8:44)

The enemy is incapable of speaking truth.

Whatever he is whispering into your beautiful ears this morning, know that the OPPOSITE is Truth.

We have believed his hateful lies long enough.

Stop him in his tracks when these lies come to your mind.

He cannot stand Truth.

Speak Truth, even out loud if you have to.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

As you begin your precious day, I want you to look at your beautiful face in the mirror and say, “God has Good Plans for me!”

This world is poverty stricken in Truth.

Let’s be Truth seekers, and Truth speakers.

you are so loved,

jill
