We had a tie for 200th SHINE girl email follower! I have sent them both emails..waiting to hear who they are! (they entered in at almost the exact same second!)
Congratulations! Way to spread the SHINE girls!
(oh! and as of now, we have 208 SHINE girl email followers! YAY!)
**BREAKING NEWS....THIS JUST IN...we now have 198 girls following by email! (more followers, but this is the only way i can keep track of actual members receiving emails.)

1 Samuel Chapter 7
Good morning, SHINE girls!
My wish is to post daily here on SHINE...if at all possible.
So, don't forget to check the blog daily. If you are signed up to receive SHINE posts by email, sometimes there is a delay in the email from the blog...so make sure you are checking in so that you do not miss anything.
I don't know about you, but 1 Samuel is something else! Aren't we glad that we have God's favor?
Aren't we also glad that we don't have to depend on others to sacrifice "suckling lambs" for us to have His favor and His love?
I am!
When He sent His Son, Jesus, He made it possible for us to have a direct relationship with Him, through His Son. No more burnt offerings...thank goodness...because I have a very weak stomach.
Isn't it cool that we can go straight to the Lord whenever we need to? (and i NEED to, a whole lot!)
Power comes when we spend time at His feet, girls. When we spend time in His living Word.
As I wrote in my new journal this morning, there was typed and scripted on the page of the journal this verse:
"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37
This is the second time this week that He has clearly shown this verse to me. I flipped back to yesterday's journal entry and I had written the very same verse with hearts around it....right there on the page!
Chills.
My eyes flooded with tears as I sensed His intimacy.
He cares about little old me. He cares about every detail in my life. He likes to show Himself to me in these ways just to remind me that He has never left.
Ahh!
Guess what?
He feels the same about YOU!
Listen for Him, look for Him, pray to Him....He is longing for intimacy with you.
The repetition of this verse to me means more that I can even convey with mere words.
He knows I needed to hear them...and believe them.
I cannot trust in my flesh and my own power...but I can trust in Him.
For nothing is impossible through Him, girls.
Nothing.
