When you need a miracle…
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!
The post to follow is from April 8th of this year. It was posted on the old blog, and I wanted to transfer it here.
Many of us are in need of a miracle. An answer to prayer. A Word from God. Anything.
Many of our spirits are dry and in desperate need of nourishment. Our faith teeters at best and we need to be reminded of God’s Faithfulness. His Presence at all times. His attention to us and His attention to the tiniest of details in our lives.
I pray, as I write, this post will strengthen you, re-ignite your prayer life. Refuel your faith.
It sure did mine.
Do the next thing…
After I had dinner with my son a couple of weeks ago, I did something I was taught to do years ago….do the next thing.
Yes, that simple.
Do the next thing.
My son and I both had lamented to each other that we were in weird places with our faith. Just dry. Or something. Just off.
It was kind of refreshing that he understood exactly what I was feeling. We could almost finish each others sentences as we were expressing our thoughts.
Holy Hard…
So, I have been in a funk lately. Nothing is wrong, but life just seems weird.
Ever been in a weird place? I begged God yesterday to please re-kindle my spirit. LIGHT a fire in my heart, Lord. I need a nudge, a push, something….anything.
I think when life seems mundane, and slow, and molasses dripping…our faith can often be revealed the most. Or at least that is what my 20 year old son and I came up with over chips and salsa at the local Mexican restaurant last night.

Praises

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
