Here we go again…
Hellooooooooo!!
It seems like I am staring down into the Grand Canyon when I have taken a little break from writing.
Big, looming, white screen…reminds me of big, looming, canyons just waiting for a pin drop to echo.
Well, here we are.
As many of you know, Summer is quieter around this blog.
Kids are home.
Cooking a lot more.
Cleaning a lot more.
Laundry a whole lot more.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Mirror, Mirror…
Recently, I made the mistake of purchasing a dual sided mirror.
On one side of the makeup mirror my face looks normal, or at least the face I am used to seeing.
Then, I turn the mirror to the magnified side and….oh my goodness…
I do not recognize that face!
Every flaw is magnified. Every last one.
Wrinkles I have never seen, bumps, tiny moles, stray hairs…oh my!
The first time I looked at my face on the magnified side, I gasped out loud.
I honestly, could not believe how different my face looked from one side to the other!

Rocking Chairs…
Before the alarm clock has a chance to chirp its lovely morning jazz melody, my eyes pop open.
No alarm clock needed for this middle aged woman accustomed to early mornings and early bedtimes.
Quietly, I make it to the coffee maker to wake it up.
Waiting for what seems like eternity, I finally see the coffee is brewed up and ready to pour.
Tiptoeing to the front door, I open the door and barely let the door close behind me as to not wake a soul.

Praises
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
