It’s time…
Good morning! I hope all of you had the most wonderful Christmas with your family and friends.
As we approach a brand new year, 2024, I want to challenge you.
Get into God’s Word. Every single day.
On January 1 ,2012, this blog began, formerly called “Shine Girls”.
I was on a quest to read my Bible and I needed some accountability partners.
Nervously, I sent out an email to a handful of friends asking them if they would like to read the Bible with me.
Almost everyone I reached out to said YES.
{Almost} losing my mind in Verizon….
Yesterday afternoon, my daughter and I visited our local Verizon store.
Her phone decided to completely go bananas and is not working. Yay. Not the best thing to happen at Christmas.
I mean, the phone store is always crowded, then add in the week of Christmas…ugh.
We walked in and no one even looked at us. Hmm. Ok. I guess we will just wait until someone can help us.
There were people everywhere.
We waited for about 10 minutes, still no one.
The Christmas Flu…
Whew. What a few days it has been!
I am on day 6 of having some sort of horrible sickness.
Finally, yesterday morning, I began to see the light at the end of the feverish, body aching, chills, tunnel.
Praise Jesus for healing. Seriously.
You never think about your health much until you are sick—then that is all you think about!
I did not even have the energy to drag myself to the doctor. I mean, I am a mom, I can figure out what is going on. I have the INTERNET to help me. Ha!
With all of my searching and findings, I think I had the flu.
WebMD has nothing on a mom! (ok, kidding.)
As I sat here at home, day after day, I stared at the twinkling lights on my Christmas tree.
I was forced to rest and be still.
Hmmm.
Ok, God. I hear you.

Praises

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
