A Call to Pray…

A Call to Pray…

I write to you with urgency this morning.

Please join me in prayer at noon today to pray.

All night long, God impressed it upon my heart to pray.

Asbury University is going on a week long revival on their campus.

As a mother of a college student, this blesses my momma heart so much.

Many, many times, my college son has said to me, “Mom, it’s like swimming upstream against the current.”

Our kids need our prayers. Our love. Our encouragement. Our Hope.

They desperately need Jesus.

Will you please set your watches, phones, alarms for Noon today?

God is doing a mighty work here and we must answer the call to pray.

If you know a college kid, please consider praying for them, and reaching out to them.

It is a lonely and dark world. Our kids need some LIGHT in their days. They need our prayers.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-15

setting my watch,

You are invited…

Welcome to 2023.

We are about 12 days in.

How is it going for you?

Did you make any resolutions or goals?

Honestly, this is the first year in many years that I haven’t.

Normally, I would be kicking off some kind of diet re-set.

I decided not to this year.

At the tail end of December, I came across a scripture in Matthew. It literally jumped off of the page in my face.

Surely, I had read it many times before, but this time it hit different.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Matthew 24:35

A year of Hope…

If I had one word to describe 2022, it would be the year of HOPE.

Last January was very difficult.

My father-in-law passed away on January 26th.

We were shocked. We were sad. We felt like we had been punched in the stomach.

It was our first parental loss, and it was a painful one.

Soon after his passing, rolling into February, both of my children were suffering from other heartaches and heartbreaks.

By February’s end, I felt like someone was holding a pillow over my face and I was suffocating.

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.

Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
