Practice Practice Practice…
“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then, the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
As I came across these words of Paul, my mind jolted back to something I read many years ago. It was a book on marriage.
The author said, “Whatever you practice in your daily life is what you will eventually become.”
She was teaching on the kind of attitude we have towards our spouses. If we practice bitterness, we will become bitter older women. If we practice laziness, we will become lazy.
So, here, I see Paul in the book of Philippians telling us to put into practice these things that we have been taught through God’s Word.
I shared with you a few months ago that I had begun to journal my gratitude as soon as I roll out of bed each day. Grabbing my notebook and pen, I write down things that I am thankful for before I even have time to wipe the sleep from my eyes.

When you need a miracle…
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!
The post to follow is from April 8th of this year. It was posted on the old blog, and I wanted to transfer it here.
Many of us are in need of a miracle. An answer to prayer. A Word from God. Anything.
Many of our spirits are dry and in desperate need of nourishment. Our faith teeters at best and we need to be reminded of God’s Faithfulness. His Presence at all times. His attention to us and His attention to the tiniest of details in our lives.
I pray, as I write, this post will strengthen you, re-ignite your prayer life. Refuel your faith.
It sure did mine.

Do the next thing…
After I had dinner with my son a couple of weeks ago, I did something I was taught to do years ago….do the next thing.
Yes, that simple.
Do the next thing.
My son and I both had lamented to each other that we were in weird places with our faith. Just dry. Or something. Just off.
It was kind of refreshing that he understood exactly what I was feeling. We could almost finish each others sentences as we were expressing our thoughts.

Praises
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
